This was the carnival entry of George Wickens, in 1932. Surrey Mirror: "Mr. George Wickens entered a model of the Old Mill in straw linked up with an appeal to 'buy British'".

Surrey Mirror report of the carnival in 1932 informs us that "Mr. George Wickens entered a model of the Old Mill in straw linked up with an appeal to 'Buy British'".
