'St. Bernardo', a champion Saint Bernard from the famous Abbots Pass Kennels, of which this magnificent dog was virtually the founder, and has made history for the breed in this country. By Thomas Falls, from Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia, 1935/36. Ch. Abbots Pass St. Antony. Sire: Abbots Pass Achilles. Dam: Abbots Pass Arabella. Born: April 8th 1933. Is unbeaten in his show career. At Cruft's Great International Dog Show, 1935, won six Firsts and two Specials. At Cruft's Golden Jubilee Dog Show, 1936, three Firsts, one Special; and at Cruft's Coronation Dog Show, 1937, three Firsts, one Special. Owned by Mrs E.K. Staines, Leigh, Surrey. Issued by John Sinclair Ltd. of Newcastle-on-Tyne. Shampoo, Sir? A hugh St Bernard belonging to Mrs Staines of the Abbots Pass Kennels, near Reigate, having a sponge in readiness for the Kennel Club Show in London.
